Advice on accessible housing issues, tenant search/marketing
Moda Living has built 15 high-quality accessible apartments at its Hove Central location, delivered in line with Section 106 planning requirements from Brighton & Hove City Council, which include wheelchair accessible homes. Six of the accessible units were also eligible for the Discount Market Rent (DMR) scheme for key workers.
Delivering accessible homes was only part of the challenge for Moda.
At completion, Moda needed to reach a specific audience of prospective residents who would benefit from the accessibility features of the new homes, and to be able to present them appropriately from an accessibility perspective during viewings and feedback. They wanted to ensure that the quality of service provision provided to tenants in general also extended to wheelchair users..

The majority of Moda’s high-quality accessible homes were let to families and individuals who benefit from their features soon after each phase was released, supported by Abode Impact’s specialist housing knowledge and tenant reach.
For residents such as Dan, it meant finding a home where accessibility didn't have to mean compromise.
